Dear Aspirant, form you question, it seems that you are in school and you are in doldrums whether to take mathematics or not. Again you are double minded that to take commerce with maths or to opt for physics , chemistry and maths (PCM).I would like to suggest you that, first you try to think logically what you want to achieve or become in life. why do you wish to opt commerce with maths and why PCM. Since you have mentioned that you have good command over maths but not that much. If you wish to pursue your career in science then go for PCM combination. If you are not interested in science and you have inclination in commerce or you wish to become charted accountant then you opt maths in commerce.Another way, you should go through the syllabus of maths in PCM and also of commerce stream. By thoroughly reading the syllabus you will come to know whether you will be able to carry it forward or not.In my opinion, by going through the syllabus and comparing it with your interest you will come to know that what subject you should take. You have not mentioned that in which class you are studying and what you want to be in future.Actually the PCM combination has lot of opportunities, you may try for engineering, for pilot and for the Navy and merchant Navy also. In fact, there are many jobs, which requires mathematics at the level of 10+2. The commerce stream also has its own benefits, but again you have to choose other subjects along with maths.Have you ever discussed with your seniors, that you are little bit confused in opting maths and commerce. You must be having good friends, with whom you may discuss your problem. Actually you have not written your question in detail. Any ways, my suggestion will be that you look inside you, what is your dream, are you serious to carry forward the maths in PCM or commerce.Believe me , do this and you will be able to decide that what combination you should opt. Listen to your heart and mind, dont come under unnecessary advice of your friends, who are very good at mathematics.Good luck...
