Dear Aspirant,

form you question, it seems that you are in school and you are in doldrums whether to take mathematics or not. Again you are double minded that to take commerce with maths or to opt for physics , chemistry and maths (PCM).

I would like to suggest you that, first you try to think logically what you want to achieve or become in life. why do you wish to opt commerce with maths and why PCM. Since you have mentioned that you have good command over maths but not that much. If you wish to pursue your career in science then go for PCM combination. If you are not interested in science and you have inclination in commerce or you wish to become charted accountant then you opt maths in commerce.

Another way, you should go through the syllabus of maths in PCM and also of commerce stream. By thoroughly reading the syllabus you will come to know whether you will be able to carry it forward or not.

In my opinion, by going through the syllabus and comparing it with your interest you will come to know that what subject you should take. You have not mentioned that in which class you are studying and what you want to be in future.

Actually the PCM combination has lot of opportunities, you may try for engineering, for pilot and for the Navy and merchant Navy also. In fact, there are many jobs, which requires mathematics at the level of 10+2. The commerce stream also has its own benefits, but again you have to choose other subjects along with maths.

Have you ever discussed with your seniors, that you are little bit confused in opting maths and commerce. You must be having good friends, with whom you may discuss your problem. Actually you have not written your question in detail. Any ways, my suggestion will be that you look inside you, what is your dream, are you serious to carry forward the maths in PCM or commerce.

Believe me , do this and you will be able to decide that what combination you should opt. Listen to your heart and mind, dont come under unnecessary advice of your friends, who are very good at mathematics.

Good luck...

Hello Student!

Wish you are doing well in your life.
The question that you asked is very simple yet very complicated as my answer will inspire you some where to choose your career and to go on with.

Initially i would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Couns. Rohit Gala. I have worked with London school of econimics and political Science as well as with Uni of London research and development team. I asm into this stream fro past five years and eight months.

Checking you question it seems that you are quite confused with the options to choose after tenth.
Here it also tells me that you are not interested in Biology to be chosen after your tenth. This leaves us with only options of Commerce or Physics, Chemistry with Math.
Now to make it simple i wil guide you to either refer the books of Math and PCM ata time and understand the concepts. Also speak to some of your friends who have taken these subjects and have completed that successfully. Also speak to your teacher and parents about the answers you get from your freinds as your teachers and parents are the one who know you deeply and will have the best answer to take you in your career. As you get the answer go in that career. This option is just to compare and practically understand the subjects you want to study.

Still after following my initial approach you dont get any option you can think about the career you want to actually work throug your life. For egg. if you want to work being an electrical engg you will have to choose PCM asof now because that is your dream and you can not just side away your dream just with a fear of Math and difficulty in studies. So Here you will have to develop your study hard and make yourself capable to learn and understand more just to live your dream come true.

So if actually your dream is to become a businessman do a commerce course with math. As studying math will not harm you any way.

Just remember one thing never run away from dificulties as they are the one who will polish you to shine in your future.

Work Hard to Get Best.

Best of Luck
Succeed well
Thank you
