I got to see this web page http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/chopra-consultants-c347337.html in which it its written that CHOPRA OVERSEAS EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANCIES ARE FRAUD ,DALALS,FALSE VISAS,IS IT TRUE??

I can understand how serious you should have got reading this complaint. First please be relaxed. As the other counsellor informed you here, it is the University and British embassy in India plus the UKBA Home office who are responsible for issuing your visa and not the educational consultants. Therefore, I can confirm that Chopras consultants or any other educational consultants in India has no authority in issuing you a study visa.

This is why I always recommend students to only choose studying at the Universities abroad and not choose to study at some unknown/ unfamiliar colleges. Every university that is willing to admit international students with them, will share a national database with the UKBA Home office, the university international office and also with the British High Commission in India. Therefore as your profile goes through check with each of these security checks, your visa will never ever go fraud.

Visa process:
I will explain down here how a visa is processed and issued. Once the university accepts you unconditionally on their program, they will ask for your details related to your passport. You should have a valid passport that is open to travel until Jan 2017. As you are studying an MSc, your study visa will be open from September 2015 to Jan 30 2017, ideally 16 months. You should complete the course in 12 months and the remaining four months is left to you to attend graduation and simultaneously search for full time jobs. You should give the University your full name, full address, correct date of birth and passport number and all these details should match the details on your passport.

Once you send in the passport details, the University will send you a CAS number. This is usually a 16 digit number specially allocated by the University for you. You should write this CAS number on your visa application form. Here comes the help from educational consultancies like Chopras, they will check if all your documents are perfectly written and attached with the visa application. These educational consultancies will only guide you and they dont have any other authority beyond this. So once they check and say, you are ready to submit visa application, you should visit a VFS visa in your city and apply for your UK student visa. Once you apply, you will know the outcome of your application within 15 working days, and therefore be relaxed that the educational consultancies have nothing to issue false visas.
