If you want to make career in the Commerce Field you can opt to become a C.A(Chartered Accountant)

You can also make career in Lectureship program becoming a professor of Commerce

You need to Prepare for UGC NET Exam and get UGC Scholarships worth INR 25000

 

You can prepare for  UGC NET Exam but you'll have to need good strategy,dedication and books to prepare for the exam.

B.com: Some of the career prospects of B.com are: you can work as Book keeper, Probationary officer, Trainees in BPO/KPO, Retail Manager.

The best is to go for higher studies like mba. There are a number of benifits of doing mba. I am enlisting some of those: New job positions will be open for you, your earning potential will increase, you will enjoy greater job security, your professional skills will improve, you will become more knowledgeable in areas most important to your career.

Hi

After 12th commerce students can go to Bachelor of Commerce - B.com .

You can either opt for B.Com, B.Com (Hons) (3 years) or Dual degree B.Com (Hons)- MBA (5 years) or integrated B.Com -MBA (4 years) and also you can opt for B.Com( Management Accounting and International Financial ) (3 years).

These above mentioned are the courses which you can opt if you want to pursue B.Com according to your area of interest.

After B.com you can work as 

  • Book keepers
  • Probationary officer
  • Trainees in BPO/KPO
  • Retail Manager

So it will be advisable if you do your degree from a well known university and that provides prime placement opportunity, outstanding industrial exposure and professional enhancement training. After b.com you should go for competitive examination, which is the 1st step towards government job. You can start your career in banking sector i.e IBPS PO/so, SBI and all bank exams. I see you are willing to know the career prospects with a BCom degree. A commerce degree is very popular and well established in India. And these days the world has gone through a major industrial revolution, providing commerce services electronically known as the e-commerce. With a Bachelors degree in Commerce, I shall explain you in which sectors you are likely to get placed first. Please look at the picture below for better understanding.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
 
As a BCom graduate the common destinations for commerce students are into
1. Company secretaryship - where you get involved into a company's administration. Secretary positions are reputed within a company especially in education and manufacturing industries. It requires you to be further qualified for professional secretarial examinations. But the basic degree that it demands is a BCom degree.
 
2. Chartered Accountant - this requires you to study for a professional qualification like the CA. As a chartered accountant, you have high job prospects in India and abroad. Chartered accountants are always in demand with the BIG Four companies like the Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG and PWC. If you aspire to work for the BIG Four companies, you can also start on an entry level role with a BCom degree. And you may simultaneously prepare for your professional exam while you are working.
 
3. Finance careers- Finance careers are broadly classified into four divisions.

3.1 Investment banking: You could work as an Investment Analyst, Credit Analyst or Investment banker and to start such roles, BCom is the basic degree required. Ideal company for these jobs will include the Goldman Sachs, GE Capital.

 
3.2 Personal banking will offer jobs in banking sector that deals with personal customers and business customers. Ideal companies to offer roles are ICICI, Axis bank, SBI Standard Chartered personal banking, ING Vysya, IndusInd bank, Indian Bank, Punjab national bank and other state banks.
 
3.3 Insurance careers: This requires you to complete an IRDD exam. Passing the exam, you initially start as an insurance advisor and then progress to sales and business development roles. Ideal companies offering such positions include SBI Life Insurance, GE Money, Aditya Birla Insurance, LIC, Max New York Life insurance etc.
 
3.4 Wealth management careers. You again work similar to the investment bankers. You are also likely to get jobs in Goldman Sachs, GE Capital as a Wealth Analyst.
 
4. Commerce analyst/ Economist: With a BCom degree that also includes Economics as a subject, you can work as a Commerce analyst or an e-commerce analyst for major retail stores in India or abroad.
 
5. Sales and marketing: Students also choose sales and marketing sector where they could be involved in sales and marketing of the company's products. They could upgrade their knowledge by doing an MBA in Marketing to stabilise their career.
