Hi Sahil,

Yes, you can do B.Tech course again after the completion of B.Tech in Information Technology if your age is still within the eligibility criteria range of JEE i.e. 24 years. So, if your age is within the limit then you can give the JEE exam and can do B.Tech course again.

But it will not be beneficial for you as this is Carrier Chart for Engineering Student.

SSLC ---> HSC ----> B.Tech -----> M. Tech 0r M.B.A----> Ph. D

It will be better for you if you can do M.Tech or MBA after B.Tech. If you can get good percentile in gate or CAT then you can also join IIT’s, NIT’s and IIM’s.

Apart from that you will also get stipend from govt of HRD while doing research in M.Tech. So, don’t waste your 4 years by doing B.Tech again.

all the best.

Dear Aspirant,

As far as educational formalities are concerned, you can do more than one BTech.

However, why is this the need for you? Your percentage was low, means how low? If its was above 45% then I think you need not do again BTech course just for improving the percentage. You should have taken proper care and should have studied seriously at the first place.

By the way, what was the reason for low percentage? If you tell me I will help me guide you more appropriately.

I think to remove the negativity of low percentage in BTech, go for Masters and try to get good percentage in Masters.

Always remember that people do not get jobs, just on the basis of percentages. Ensure that you also gather other skills like communication, soft skills, etc.

Best wishes
