CFP Stand for Certified Financial Planner which is a program offered by FIPB. CFP is a renowned and global program which is based on the need of Financial Planning for the Individual.

CFP is widely needed and accepted in Financial Markets and Banking channel, Since Bank or Financial Institute like broking firms has lot of products which needs to be explained and sold to Investors.

With the Increased Competition and complexity of Financial Instruments its a need to have a certified person to handle ones finance.

CFP Holders in India have access to jobs in 46 Charter member companies, another advantage with CFP is that its created and updated by Industry experts and thus it has a wider acceptance.

CFP holder also can work on their own as a financial adviser and start their own venture, So over all CFP is a very good option for a B.com Graduate to pursue.

The Only concern is that CFP is not a very high paying job initially and you would have to prove that you have very sound knowledge and skills as a Financial planner.

if you can establish good relation and with your knowledge get good business from client that Sky is the limit for growth, since normally once CFP get business not on the basis of company for which he work but on the goodwill and skill of an individual.

CFP would have a very good future since penetration of financial products are increasing in india.

CFP is a very good career option and definitely has jobs and as well as there is good scope for private consultancy as Financial Advisor.

CFPs are employed by Banks, NBFCs, Financial Institutions, Wealth Management companies, Mutual Funds, etc.
