As such it is next to impossible to answer which one from MBA and CA is superior, since both the fields have their own importance in the market, and at the same time they can be pursued by the same person itself.

What I mean by interchangable is that a CA can pursue an MBA program for better fuiture prospects and vice versa.

Generally speaking both are the topmost degree one can achieve in their qualification arena.
An employee / student pursues MBA only to get a better prospect in the future.
Though a CA does not require any backup, it is a degree all by itself, but some students who wish to progress or hopes to achieve another degree pursue an MBA program.

My only advise to you would be to focus on your liking and pursue it as a qualification, than thinking ot pursue a superior degree. Please note that the degree you achieve may be the topmost, but if you are unable to prove its worth in the industry, you stand no where.

When we talk about making a career in finance there are many career options available for one like as you mentioned. CA is a person who deals with the various factors of finance like Income Tax Filling,maintaining accounts,Auditing the books of accounts and creating its reports,etc.

Whereas the MBA is Masters degree in which one can take a specilisation in various fields like HR,Finance,Marketing,IT etc. If one chooses to make a career in MBA Finance they also do have the good career prospects same as like CA. An MBA with CA or vice versa is a good combination to have a good career in the finance sector. Both of the degrees are professional degrees having a good career scope and demand. Both the degree holders can work in Banking and Non-Banking Sector,they can also work in the public sectors like Banks etc.

Hence forth both the options are equal,no one is superior to each other. I would suggest you to consider your interest and like and according to it select the course which you wish to go for and complete it.

This is one of the most asked questions from students I have seen till now. Somehow this comparison has been going on for many years in the minds of the students and as well as their parents.

MBA has been considered as a glamorous course and hence there is less weightage and importance given to professional courses like CA, CS, CMA.

MBA and Chartered Accountants are very different from each other. One example, is an MBA is not allowed entry to Audit, Taxation area since it is the domain of CAs. Whereas CAs are not allowed entry to Management, Marketing, HR, etc.

Instead of thinking about which course is best among these, it is very important for you to think for which course YOU are best for?

MBA is definitely easier in studies than CA. Employment opportunities for both are diverse and independent.

If you are interested in technical commercial aspects, then Chartered Accountancy is best for you. But if you are not inclined towards audit, taxation, maths, costing, then doing MBA is suited to you.
