Hello My Dear...

I am glad that you have somewhat thought about what life you would like to live in future and that suggests that you are clear about your life. I compliment you for this. I am glad that you decided to approach CareerGuide.com at the right time to seek guidance for your career.

Considering your thought that you do not wish to be in a hectic job and require decent pay and time for yourself, then the best career option which is available is of Teaching. (You need NOT do MA in Psychology for getting into the teaching field).

Teaching field is such a field and I can tell you this with my own experience for many years now, is a very satisfying job, allows to you to maintain work life balance, gives you recognition, gives you opportunity to remain in young generation always, makes you feel energetic always and also gives you decent pay and good working hours too.

For being into teaching field and that too for teaching in engineering colleges, I would recommend you to do a Masters Degree in Engineering. Doing Masters is very much a requirement in the education industry and further if you can manage to do a PhD along with a job, then it would be very good and beneficial for your whole life. But firstly you need to get a Masters Degree in your chosen and liking area. This Masters degree is recommended to be done in full time, please avoid doing it through distance learning mode or part time.

Therefore I suggest you to leave your IT job and get into the masters degree course in the coming academic year in a reputed engineering college in your city.

I am sure with this you will definitely get to live your life as you have thought of.

Best Luck.
