At this initial stage, to be a Primary Teacher, generally, after 10+2 Level of education one need to do an Education Diploma (D.Ed.) which can be pursued after giving a TET - Teacher’s Eligibility Test.

 

Secondary/Higher Secondary School Teacher:

Complete your graduation and have done the Bachelor degree in Education (B.Ed.). This qualification makes you eligible as a teacher for Secondary and Higher Secondary School Education.

 

Professor/Lecturer in Colleges/Universities:

This stage can be considered as the last stage as at this level after being eligible with due qualification, you get to teach in senior level students in Colleges/Universities. You need to appear for a common national level eligibility test held by UGC/CSIR i.e. NET - National Eligibility Test after your Master Degree. There is an another option also that you can try SET-State level Eligibility Test and become eligible for lectureship in that certain state for teaching in Colleges/Universities.
