Hi There,

Thanks for visiting at!!!

English is a global language now and if you are interested in doing MBA from abroad, then I would strongly suggest you to do it in English medium from Surat / Gujarat.

It is very much advised that do not do an MBA in vernacular language since subjects like costing, Accounting, Finance, Inventory are better to be done in English. You will face problem in job while applying.

I think you can choose an English language tutorial class in your local area and get mastered in English language. Though I appreciate that you are inclined towards your mother tongue or regional language, it would be a problem later for understanding things in English and then you will not be able to cope with the job responsibilities and you will require help at every point of time in your work or while communicating finance/costing related issues in the organisation. However if you are interested in doing your own business or doing family business, language is not a barrier.

Also please do not go for distance learning MBA. Since you are very young I suggest you to go for full time MBA in a reputed college and that too in English medium. Distance MBA has many drawbacks and is very much suited for people who are already working and want to upgrade themselves in their career for promotion or job switching. Subjects like Finance Management require good amount of practice and guidance from professors which can happen in a classroom type of atmosphere and where you will be also able to make many friends and contacts which will help you in future for your job or business.

Best Luck

Hello there

Thank you very much for approaching counselors at!!! and seeking our guidance. I am very happy that you have come to us to solve your query. i can certainly help you solve your problem today.
First of all i see you hold a three year bachelor degree in BCom. May i know what percentage you scored in your bcom degree? Next to study an MBA, it requires appreciably at least two or three years of work experience. Do you have that? If you dont have then dont worry as you still have chances with some schools who recruit for MBA class even if you dont have work exp.
After all i want to ask you why choose studying by distance mood? NO MBA BY DISTANCE MODE WILL HELP A FRESHER. MBA is a professional degree and and advanced degree. As one of our counsellors Mr Anand Wadadekar said, you can do an MBA if you are already working. But if you are a fresher it is not advisable to study MBA by distance medium. I suggest you apply to regular or full time colleges that run MBA programs.

Next, you wanted to focus on inventory management, accounts and finance. Great! But these subjects require someone to teach you as they are usually not literature based or theory based like human resource management. THEY ARE PRACTICE BASED subjects. I have personally seen students studying MBA Accounts and finance by distance and have struggled to learn. They approach tuition centres to teach them on their accounts and finance subject. And you know what? Tuition centres cost these students five times more than their actual MBA tuition fee that they paid to study by distance. And most freshers who studied MBA by distance are still struggling to get a descent job. Very few in work exp have got tried to be placed.

Accounts and finance subjects are best learned in class rooms and professors today use group discussion and case study methods to teach MBA students. These case study methods give MBA students real taste of business problems and help them think creatively. Also MBA is best learned and experienced only by group discussions in a school setting. So i dont want you to miss out these learning experiences.
Lastly, for your career aim abroad, it is required that you study MBA in English in India. Also you need to pass TOEFL exam with 100 or 120 above scores to obtain a visa to work abroad. If you dont prove your English language proficiency then employers hardly will look at your profile as English is must. English is just a language as Gujarathi. So dont feel low. It is not a rocket science. I think you already have a good language level as I can see they way you have written your question in English. Very good on that. Try improving your English knowledge and study in English medium in India. You are sure to win in your life. Good luck.
