More than agencies there are direct job offering and opening in the media industry like magazines; newspapers and Television.

The student should first try and get himself/herself placed through the institution studying or studied at. If these institutions are highly ranked then they have direct access to top media houses coming for student recruitment.

In case if you have not secured a job through the placement then not to worry; you need to submit your portfolio along with an updated CV in the TOP media houses and may be visit the HR their a few times.

Initially never aim for a High-up position job but yes you can aim for internships and projects which if performed very well then you can get hired permanently.

My advice is to students still in college and interested in becoming reporters some day is right from now, start making your visibility by may be writing small article for newspapers and magazines; try and get a summer internship in some magazine house or may be do a cover up story and submit them to one of the media houses.

But students who have completed studies shouldn't get disheartened in case if you haven't done anything yet, for you the initial journey can be rough but it will be happen.
