Journalism is divided into four areas print media, electronic media , radio, and new media including internet or web.

There are ample of job options availablein all the areas mentioned above.

Print media includes newspapers, magazinesand journals. Reporters, writers, editors etc are various job roles. Times of India, Hindustan times, The Hindu, Economic Times etc various print media companies.

Electronic media- With television becoming the better medium for public communication , job options are endless in this area. Reporters, Copy writers, editors, content writer, correspondents , news readers or anchors etc are various job roles. Zee news, ABP news, NDTV news, Local news channels, Regional channels etc are various employers.

Radio-In recent times radio has gained its own popularity with modern outlook.
So there are ample job options.Radio jockey, writers etc are various job roles.
Radio mirchi, 98.2 FM, All India Radio, etc are various employers.

New media- All the print and televisionmedia owns there web editions. One can work for them too.


Fresh graduates can start as an intern in news agencies or newspapers.
