Hello dear friend,

Reading your query above I came to know about your query regarding the further line to go in future.
As you are doing BBA which is bachelor in business administration, you can go for MBA that is master in business administration which will lead you to further sharpening and enhancing your skill into the same line and as you started in business studies better to continue in that line further.
Again you want to know about the scope in finance line, I would say yeah finance line is lucrative and is having good scope in future too, as you can go for finance profile in MNC's multi national companies, if you can do your course from top colleges like IIM's indian institute of management than more good opportunities will come your way for placements and you can have a great career in finance ahead.
So I would suggest to try for top colleges, if not at least go for some good colleges with proper placement records.
As you said other lines are not so good but being a MBA from HR back ground I do not find any wrong in taking Hr or marketing subjects too. You can find many examples in all lines getting a good pay package and doing well in life, it is not about the line or subject you choose it is always about the interest and preferences you have, if you do not have interest in finance, than in finance also you ca not do good though good scope is there in that line. So better to see and think wisely what are your liking's and interest areas and than decide the subject and line in future.

Further to the discussion you asked about CFA certified chartered accountant, which is a hot cake now in market, those who are having a CFA or say license in hand are in more demand as compared to any other finance graduate or MBA. And CFA is not so easy to get , you need to do hard labor for that than only you can clear the papers. It is a international level exam and bit expensive too as fee for the exam is also high, only go for it if you can afford and can give full dedication.

Hope you got the answer and now you are clear about the career line to choose
Thank you
All the best

Dear Aspirant,

Before deciding Finance as a career option, I would suggest you to ask yourself the below questions and answer honestly to yourself:

  1. Do I have good mathematical proficiency?
  2. Am I very comfortable with numbers and will I be comfortable for whole life in finance domain?
  3. Is Finance career option for me on the basis of real competency?

If the answers to the above questions come as a strong YES, then you may pursue finance career.

Finance is more lucrative than any other field like HR, Marketing, is absolutely wrong.

For being a Finance professional, CFA from US Institute is the best.

To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo an online psychometric test from CareerGuide.com which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which stream is good for you.

Best wishes,

Dr. Anand Wadadekar
