In order to make a career in the Banking sector one can make a career either in the Private and the Government Banking Sector.

Earlier a candidate who has completed 12th std was eligible for the Government Bank Clerk Exams. If they got into the merit they were appointed in the Banks. Whereas these exams were conducted differently by the different banks.

But now with the new notification Bank Clerk and Bank PO exams are conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection i.e IBPS for the 21 Government Banks except SBI. SBI conducts its own exam for the post of PO and Clerk. As per the new notification the eligibility criteria is also changed which is as follows-

The educational eligibility for Bank Clerk and Bank PO Exam (both) is the same as follows-

There is no registration with the IBPS you apply for the exams with the IBPS. Before applying for the Exam you need to Upload your Passport Photo and Signature and than you need to apply for the Exam. You need to fill up all the necessary Personal details and than need to select whether you wish to pay the fees online or offline. For online you can pay fees through credit/debit card or Internet banking.

If you are selecting offline mode you need to take the print of the Challan and than wait for 2 days to accept the form and than go to the nearby bank for the payment of fees assigned by the IBPS. Get the student challan signed and stamped from the Bank. Keep the Challan with you for the future reference.

I hope you find this information useful and helpful.

Feel free to get in touch again.

Wish you Good Luck

Thank You
