I am doing b.tech in mechanical and facing problem in choosing field for job?

I ma doing b.tech in mechanical engineering. I want to go for a job but didnt decide yet the field in which I should go>> firstly I applied for merchant navy and selected but now I want to know what kind of fields and working arena are open for mechnical engineer

Mechanical Engineers can work in thermal power industry,gas turbens industry ,air conditioning and refrigeration industry,oil and gas exploration and refining industry ,agriculture sector,educational sector,aviation companies,shipping industries,aerospace industry,armed forces,pharmaceutical,automobile industry and many other.
In the government sector ,mechanical engineers can provide their knowledge to various government run projectsin the role of technical experts and consultation.

One can also go for teaching as a career after Mechanical Engineering which will include teaching subjects in mechanical engineering in top engineering colleges of india. The Pay package is good for professors of this branch.

Dear Aspirant,

Why dont you go for Merchant Navy then? Getting selected is good and I think you should once again think for that.

Engineering is required in Navy and that too Mechanical.

Various areas in which Mechanical Engineers can work are: thermal power, Oil & gas, air conditioning and refrigeration industry, oil and gas exploration and refining industry, aviation companies, shipping industries, aerospace industry, armed forces, automobile industry, manufacturing, industrial automation, etc.
