You have not mentioned the duration of this course. To the best my knowledge this course is of three and half (six month internship) years. In USA the degree courses are of four years. Therefore, technically you will face difficulty in searching for a job of laboratory technician. If you get a job in USA as medical laboratory technician, then the salary structure will be low around $ 38,000 per annum. In my opinion, you should do post graduation in medical laboratory technician from any Indian university. This will give you more exposure in the field of medical laboratory technology. You will have more hands on training on instruments. This will also give you more theoretical knowledge about the subject. You will be able to conceptualize the new ideas related to your field. After passing your post graduation course in medical laboratory technology you will have better job opportunities in India itself. Therefore, you should try for job experience here in India. The experience you will gain here will be helpful for you seek job opportunity in USA. After post graduation and some experience you will get a better job up to $ 55,000 to $75,000 per annum.
