Hello Mugdha,
Welcome to careerguide.com.
Your thinking is really different and great.... I cheer you up on this..... There are many careers related to law and journalism. You can start with graduation in mass communications or Media. Or You can go with Bachelor's/ Master's in English hons. And later start your career with reporting domain. If you do a degree in legal journalism , it will be a nice complement to your aspirations as well.
Alternatively, you can prepare for civil services also.
But, want to explain you that one's aspirations and passion should not be sole deciding factor for a career rather it should be planed on the basis of one's interest, aptitude, skills, motivators strength etc. Careerguide.com provides comprehensive psychometric assessment services to help you make an informed choice. Also telephonic counselling is complementary to help parents and students understand various career options and importance of career planning.I would recommend you to take it.
I hope it helps! Revert if you need further help.
All the best...
Regards
Dear Aspirant,
Ms. Halima has rightly advised you.
Your motivation to change things in the world by right ways is appreciable. I congratulate you that you wish to be a reformer.
For this, definitely there is a scope. I would suggest that you may do Political Science post graduate or graduation. This will lead you to politics and government and will also help you clear UPSC exams. Government Administration and Public Policy are areas where there is scope and you may also think of doing Public Policy courses at PG level.
Best wishes
In order to post replies to the question: "I have always aspired to become an reformer (alike a lawyer..which my famiy is unlikely to support me with).. Is there any other alternative carrer , which would let me express my thoughts other than journalism and law.. to attain a degree before doing"
