Hi

The job of a sports administrator/manager involves planning and management of sports activities and events from time to time.

The course on sports management in India stresses upon the following principles:

Social and ethical relevance of sports management
Sponsorship, marketing and merchandise of sports
Interrelationship between finance and sports

Scope in india:

One can join as a sports manager, One can also be the personal manager or agents of renowned players who do PR work, career enrichment and get the brand endorsement assignments. Many private and government institutes require sports managers to supervise the sports activities .Even club , hotels, resorts recruit sports managers to manage their gymnasiums and sports centers.

Job options are much higher abroad.

There are few institutes offering courses in sports management. Alagappa University and Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science offers diploma courses in sports management.

Good luck
