Hi,

Yes , your choice is right and you have opted for the right job. Do not worry about that. SAP is a part of your education and it is from the same field, which normally people do not opt for. I will explain why it is so.

SAP is an integrated enterprise resource planning package. It encompasses all the aspects of a business from employee benefits to billing from CRM to supply chain management.

SAP provide industry specific enterprise resource planning ( ERP). Meaning they have different solutions for each type of industry ranging from government organization to mid sized private enterprises . The solutions / systems they provide can be customized to suit the need of each company and could handle the entire business cycle from order to cash. Each part of the solution is categorized by business function and these are called modules. For example the part that caters to the sales and distribution needs of a company is referred to as the SD module. SAP is the world's leading provider of business software and is the 3rd largest software company in the world, competing with oracle and Microsoft.

So you see that it is a part of the IT industry . But if you are not interested for this job you can again look for the type of job you are interested in. You have a prosperous career also in it .

I have answered your question to best of my knowledge , but still if you want to ask any thing you can ask me again.

ALL THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
