Career in Banking is always a good option. Its the top preferred career option by many of the Commerce students whereas many other students of other faculty aspire to make a career in the Banking Sector. Banking Sector of India have been growing rapidly . The government mandate policies like Rural Banking have given a room for the many career opportunities in Banking. The Major Banking Sector is held by the Government whereas there has been also private palyers who have been making their own existence in the Banking field.
One can make a career in Banking as a Clerk,PO,IT Officer,Law officer etc.
The one who aspires to make a career as a Bank PO officer have an option to give the two exams like SBI PO and IBPS PO.
The candidates who aspires to make a career in SBI Bank needs to give an SBI PO exam. SBI is the representative Bank of RBI and so many students aspires to make a career in the SBI whereas those who wish to make a career in the rest of the government Banks i.e 21 Nationalised Banks they need to appear for the IBPS PO exam.
The eligibility Criteria for SBI PO exam and IBPS PO exam is as follows-
1. The candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any recognised university from any stream (except Fine Arts)
2. A candidate should be an Indian.
3. Age- 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years fo disabled person.
There are restrictions for the SBI PO exams to attempt which are as follows-
1. General- 4 Attempts
2.OBC- 7 attempts
3.Reserved- No restriction for the attempts.
A General Category can attempt the SBI PO exam 4 times.
