Hello Dear Spouse,

Reading your query, I very much felt to answer this since your query is very much about my field of expertise. Your wife is MCom already and you would like to know whether Chartered Accountancy will be helpful to her. As mentioned by my colleague Ms. Jyoti Dhingra here, it all depends on what are your wife's priorities in life and what does she think of her future ahead after may be qualifying Chartered Accountancy course. A very sincere, serious and cautious decision needs to be taken by both of you and here you profession / job also matters. Your family background and family expectations do matter a lot at this stage of yours.

Doing Chartered Accountancy course after MCom is very normal route to career success and your wife can benefit from the studies she has done in her MCom for the initial stages of the Chartered Accountancy course.

Chartered Accountancy course needs to be done with full dedication, determination, perseverance, patience and hard work. If you do not have children or not planning for children in near future, then joining a coaching class for the course is highly recommended since in the coaching classes your wife can do studies in a very systematic and structured and monitored manner. If you have children and if planning to have them in future, your wife will have to juggle betwen upbringing of the kids and the course, where the attention will be 50-50 percent.

Every course is WORTH for a married girl. There is no distinction or differentiation between married or single for a course. It all depends on the number of hours once can put for studies and the plans ahead in career.

If you are comfortable with your wife working as a Chartered Accountant full time basis which is a hectic job, then you should defiintely as your wife to do Chartered Accountancy course.

Best Luck
