Hello My Dear...

Retail sector is a very lively, growing, challenging and very competitive sector all over the world. In India specifically, it is of huge importance since India is a very populous country and the demands are ever increasing.

I am glad that you have selected this career option and also since you approached CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance to your career query.

PGDM in Retail Management is good course from BIMTECH and as mentioned above the scope of retail is tremendous and there are every increasing job and career opportunities in retails sector since it is highly consumer / sutomer oriented.

To be a good retail manangement professional the first thing you must have in you is the liking, passion and interest in managing, talking, convincing, explaining PEOPLE. Ultimately your job in the retail secotr will be stable and secure only when you make the PEOPLE in the form of customers and consumers happy.

Retail Management roles are of differnet types and avenues.

Once you complete your PGDM you wont be given directly the Manager job, however you will be working in a team of sales or floor executives to learn the actual practical world of Retail sector. Later on as you progress through years and learn, you will then be exposed to job profiles like the below:

1. Floor Executive

2. Floor Manager

3. Sales Executive

4. Sales Manager

5. Customer Relationship Officer

5. Customer Relationship Manager

6. Lobby Managers

7. Back End Support Executive

8. Back end Support Manager

9. Shop Operations Manager

10. Operations Manager

11. Customer Acquisition Manager

12. Customer Feeback Executive

The above profile are indicative only.

I think you should now focus and concentrate and score good marks in the entire PGDM.

Best Luck Dear...
