Dear Friend

As you have not mentioned the level of your study where do you stand? Though management quota seems to be frequent in private organization as I know. Though it is a tough nut if you are not able to claim it through the proper channel.

Better you explore the list of institutes and organization in madurai and near by place then prefer to make visit and directly talk to the top management as you need to showcase your background based on the acceptability criteria of institute or university.

Very important to mention about your career profile and past academic record to claim the management quota which you should not understand a game of thick wallet or vis-a-vis???

I would like to suggest you following points you need to prepare yourself accordingly:

Make your standard CV or take help of any professional to create a genuine one and then go for statement of purpose which must make the coherency between your CV and futuristic approach.
Similarly you look for the type of institute where you see the curricula is best suited to your background otherwise your time, effort and money entire will be lost.

Madurai Agriculture College, Sastra University are there in that vicinity, a top class college is available but I do not have information about their management quota whether they entertain or not.

Better you contact them personally.

Why you are not exploring on merit basis it will help your career in so many ways, first you will gain confidence and will be confident in pursuing the course.

By the way you explore Agriculture College and Research, Madurai for a trial I hope it offers the various degree courses in agricultural and sciences.

Hope you must be having agriculture background starting with biology at 12th level then Agriculture at undergrad level only then you can pursue master in agriculture otherwise better you re-initiate the program only then you will be eligible to join higher degree in agriculture.

Frankly speaking I do not know your background that is why I need to give you entire informations starting from undergrad agriculture to master. Though doctorate degree has different approach for admission it entertains non agriculture background also. If you have already qualified master in agri then no problem you join any research group based on your merit.

Good luck

Manoj

Dear aspirant

It is appreciating to see your interest in agriculture degree. May i know what are you currently doing and what subjects you choose at school to be eligible to study agriculture at college? Moreover do you want to study bachelors degree or masters degree? Without knowing these details it is certainly difficult for me to explain the process. But i can straight away say that you can definitely study at Madurai agricultural college through a management quota system.

To study at Madurai agricultural college and research institute, you should study biology, chemistry, maths and physics at school level and compulsorily obtain 60% and above. If you are from general category you may need even more scores than 60% but if you are from reserved category then at least an aggregate of 55% plus the main four science subjects should also get above 55%. With these scores you can apply for a under graduate degree in BTech Agriculture. you can either choose to complete all four years in India or also do a dual degree program in Canada. TNAU has an agreement with Nova Scotia agricultural college NSAC in Canada. You will study environmental horticulture in this Canadic institution. If you are alternatively interested in a post graduate degree then you should have studied a BTech agriculture degree with a minimum of 60% overall to be eligible to study MTech agriculture in TNAU Madurai. You should also write Tamil nadu engineering entrance test and some times may be required to also write the agricultural college entrance tests. Based on your score in school level and at entrance test you will be qualified for an admission. If you have very low scores that is less than 55% there may be some chances to get admitted through management quota but then it also has a stiff competition.

If not Madurai branch you can also consider studying at Chennai or Coimbatore branch. There are other reputable agriculture colleges in Tamilnadu and they are Sastra university and Amrita school of engineering. If you require further help please contact us back. All the best.
