What am I suppose to do ? I am not sure about my existing way and my feature?

I am a it engineering student in Bangalore's one of the famous college. But thing is that I am not sure about my carrier I mean in future I have to do coding and I am not very good at that .I am a thinker but not a coder ....what am I suppose to do should I quit engineering or ..continue with it ....

I am happy that you asked this question here. One should always seek guidance when you do not know what to do next rather than sitting and doing nothing about it. Now see such questions are asked by students when they are on the end where they have to choose a career and they are confused. You have already started on the path of your career which i am sure you must have chosen according to your wish.

At this juncture when you say that you are confused , it means there must be some thing other than what you have shared here. Either you are not well physically health-wise or there are some issues related to home sickness, loneliness etc. Otherwise such confusions may not have taken place.

It is very important to finish what you have started once. You must complete the degree come what may. You have written that you have to do coding and you are not good at that , for that i will say that you consult your professors or take help from the various coaching classes near your college. I am sure that will work. You must be having friends who are pursuing the same subject, take help from them. An other way is to take help from your seniors, am sure they will be more than happy to help you.

I think you just need to move and grab the help from people around you rather than sitting at one place and brooding over the problem. Remember one negative thought gives rise to another negative thought , only action can break the circle and take you to success.

You have already selected a good career for your self, why think that you are not sure about your future career. Are you aware how much IT engineers earn as freshers or experienced ? What is their value abroad and in India ? Find out and be happy that your life is set, if still you want to do some thing else then i will suggest that you finish this degree first and then see for the next.

Thank you very much for approaching CareerGuide.com. Sorry ! I am late in replying your query. Though you have not mentioned whether you are in first year or in last year? I can understand your approach what you have developed in due course of IT study at BE/B.Tech level. It is quite apparent now that you have joined IT by default and now being victim of misfit and ignorance. This thing has become a general trend where young generation seems to be confused, and mislead under the impact of desperation.Such hurried momentum needs to be stopped at any cost which can lead you to the frustration which could be traced as dotted career and eventually wasting the effort, time and money. Think about it before taking any decision in life.

I did not mean to blame you for such act rather your family and teachers are equally responsible those try to dominate and monotonies their children as per their wish and experiences, do mind it-- they are not intend to harm your career rather they have serious concern of the job and placement irrespective of the facts which play the crucial roles in contemporary academic system at national and international level; as they are not aware about all these as I am listing below:

Before coming to the structural part of my discussion I will suggest you to switch over the program to any other related stream either in computer world or electronics or robotic intelligence , you couldbe able to save your time as you could be given lateral entry in second year as per the academic policy of UGC and AICTE. Again you need to see the course structure and modular detailing before doing so, otherwise I am sorry to say you will be repeating the same mistake as you have already committed.
Try to do the self introspection - why you are thinking that your job will be monotonous as you have mentioned coding job, I am surprised to learn this feedback, Infotech is such an interesting job where you will have the opportunity to develop the collaborative project at multidisciplinary level. Now a days IT is fused with Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, planetary research, aerospace etc. Again you need to take your spent time and experience very seriously and then decide the future academic journey.
