Accountancy- involves operating accounts, interpreting , supervising , controlling and organizing income and expenditure, doing internal audits, preparing financial statements etc.
Auditing- involves methodical examination and review of financial statements of employer or client.
Cost Accounting- involves introducing cost control methods in an organization , assisting management in determining appropriate selling prices.
Tax management- Involves rendering general advice on taxes to clients.
Consultancy- involves providing services in areas like project planning and finance, corporate law advice, investment counselling in respect of authorities, capital issues, budgeting , market research etc.
Special company work- providing services ij connection with matters such as the formation, financial structure and liquidation of limited companies

CAs can find placement across all industries, in the financial services sectors, in consulting and in teaching. The present day complex tax systems. improved methods of computing cost and controlling budgets, the new fields of management accounting and the innovations in accounting methodology have increased the importance of CAs.
