Every year in India the industries require around 50,000 Chartered Accountants. The enterprise would be small or large each and every industry needs an chartered accountant for auditing and filing the tax . On the completion of the Chartered Accountant course one has an option either to take up a job or start their own practice.

A chartered accountant field have a great career opportunities both in India and Abroad.
In order to have a good career in this field one needs a passion and dedication towards the course and study well.After achieving the success sky is the limit for one.Many students have been aspiring to become a chartered accountant because of the career scope available in this field.

So answering your query if you take up a job than you may have the office working hours on the normal days whereas there will be longing working hours during the auditing periods. while if you choose to practice independently than it depends on you how many hours of time you wish to spend working ,whereas during audit periods thought being an independent practitioner you need to spend long hours for the auditing. On an average a Chartered Accountant needs to spend 8-9 hours day for working .
