The working hours and timings of an interior designer are dictated by a number of factors and vary depending upon the kind of work or client you are involved with. Below is the detailed information to help you understand it better.

1. If you are working independently as an interior designer then you and your client will decide the timings of your work. Although for most part you will solely be responsible for deciding the timings but in certain cases where you will have to meet the client and discuss the matter with them, then only their role comes in to the picture. While visiting their house it's only up to them when would they want to visit you.

2. In case you are working in an organization the number of hours are often dictated by the company policies. Usually they have to work for 40-45 hours a week and that is often a five day week. Therefore they do have to stick to the company schedule in this case to get things done.

3. There is usually no requirement of working in night shifts. Whether they have client meetings or they are working on their own, there is not as such requirement to work in the night shifts and therefore the 8-9 hours work is spread in the day time only.

4. The flexibility in the timings depends on the kind of team an the client you are working with. If they allow you to work in the late hours or early hours you can do that. But you have to consider their points also while choosing the flexible timings and ensure that things are rightly on place.

5. The schedule of the interior designers usually gets hectic near the deadlines and they may have to work for extra hours. This is the case as the deadlines need to be met and cannot be ignored. Therefore the work is huge near them. They may also have to work till late night when the deadlines are near.

Thus the working hours and timings of the interior designers are dependent on a number of factors.
