The job opportunities will be varied. Some zoology graduates may work as assistants in laboratories, field, pure research subjects and biomedical fields. Zoologist with a post graduate degree may be employed in teaching and research in universities, institutes and colleges or in pure applied research in animals, ecosystem and marine divisions. A zoologist may also be employed by zoo, state forests, departments of agriculture, department of animal husbandry and museums. There are lot of scope in environment conservation department, wild life management, local and state level fishery departments and national parks.If you obtain a post graduate degree in zoology then you will be eligible for lecturer, research associate or senior research fellow positions in colleges, universities and research institutes. Well franky speaking the job opportunities for a zoologist depends upon the research projects and funds released by the funding agencies to conduct research.A simple graduate in zoology will have limited job scopes. Let me tell you job opportunities in private and government sector. In private sector a graduate zoologist can get a job in fishery industry. Here the main job will be rearing, catching and breeding of fishes. If some private companies are working on animal nutrition and aquaculture fields then you have good chances to work there.
