Hi there....

The choice of a career is purely an individual choice. This must be purely based on what you like, your potentials in terms of your strength, and not just because you have no other choice.

My request to you here is firstly undergo a self introspection to know what you are good at or rather what comes to your naturally. This will help you choose a subsequent career.
Or else better would be to undergo an Aptitude tests which will point out to you exactly what are your acquired intelligence and the picture would be clear that would help you choose a career.

Anyways few options post 12th for you would be as follows:

  • BBI / BFM: 2 self financed courses. Banking and Insurance ( BBI) and Financial markets ( BFM). These courses are mainly industrial oriented and are very practical rather than just being theoretical. Mostly after graduation you are ready to join the industry.
  • Management: A 3 years undergraduate management course. You could opt for either a BMS, which is a Mumbai university based course, where by admissions are purely based on merit and the course being more theoretical, or you could choose BBA, a Pune University course, admission purely based on entrance examination and the course being more practical oriented. Both the courses would expose you to the basics of management and makes you eligible to join the industry at the trainee level.
  • Mass-Media: A 3 years undergraduate course. Admission based on an entrance exam. BMM, would expose you to the basic s of the media industry in terms of Journalism, advertisement and PR
  • Designing: A 4 years undergraduate course. Admission purely based on entrance exams. This course exposes you to the basics of designing and creativity.l Few specializations offered includes Interior, fashion, Graphic, product designing and so on...
  • Computers: A 3 years undergraduate course. Admission purely based on merit and provided you have studied Math in the 12th. You could opt for either B.Sc It or BCA, whereby BCA is a comprehensive course covering both Hardware, software and networking and also involves practical applications.

Apart from this all the courses in the ARTS field like Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History or Political Sciences is also something that you can opt for.
Though I have not mentioned B.Com, since I am sure you are aware of that field too, which is quite a generic option after 12th commerce.

Hope this answers your query.
If you have any specific career or course related query, do write back.

Wish you good luck.................
