The career prospects for public relations personnel with right aptitude , interest and personality is very lucrative and promising. . More specifically the suitable personality traits plays a major role in ensuring success as a PR professional. Some of the useful traits are ability to get along with people of all kinds , a lively and enquiring mind, compassion, self confidence , adaptability , an open mind , ability to write and speak well, ability to persuade and convince , enterprise and initiative, good convincing and selling skills, tact, a calm temperament, patience, imagination and ability to communicate effectively in a given regional language and English and an unbiased approach. In all industries whether it is government undertaking, private undertaking, service organizations, defense services, educational institutions , the services of skilled public relations professional is required for originating and implementing a PR programme geared to its management's requirements. The high profile personalities also requires the services of PR professional to liaison with media about the work done by them and their achievements. The public relations professional plays a vital role in politics as well. Salary of the public relations expert vary from sector to sector, industry to industry depending upon the size of the organization, the volume of business turnover etc.
