Chartered Accountancy is not taught as a course in any college.
It is provided through a CA governing body, which is private though governed by recognised authorities.
So a student would have to register with the board after 10th and appear for the first round, CPT after completing their 12th.
Since you have not mentioned, your current qualification, I assume you are a 12th student. I would suggest, you register ASAP with the CA association and begin your preparations for the exam, so that you could clear the exam along with your 12th boards.

Please note, CA is not a degree course, but the certification is enough on its own to get you a job . But still I would recommend, complete your Graduation
In-case you are a commerce student, complete your B.Com along with CA. Any other course like BAF or BBI etc, would consume more time of yours and you would not be able to dedicate your time towards CA preparations, which requires time and complete focus.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is the only apex body in India under the Chartered Accountants Act 1949 to impart training of chartered accountancy.
After 12th any streams, you can get admitted to the Chartered Accountancy course by appearing for the CPT exam. After you clear the CPT exam which is based on the 12th std level of studies, you can get admission to the Executive Course of CA also called as Intermediate level. After you clear the Executive level, then you have to start the three years of internship with a company or a chartered accountancy firm. Then clearing the Final level of CA course and the articleship, then you can yourself known as a qualified Chartered Accountant.
