From necessities to comfort and to entertainment , electronics and communication rules the world. Electronics has a major role in improving productivity in industries like oil, energy, agriculture and so many other important sectors of economy. In steel, petroleum and chemical industries it is the electronic devices that direct , control, and test production process.. Health care industry depends on electronic equipment to perform chemical tests and to check body functions. The safety in transportation factories and mines and in homes relies heavily on electronics.






The four years bachelor's degree course in electronics & communication engineering are open to students who have passed plus two / equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics The admission to Engineering degree program is through an engineering entrance tests i.e. JEE main & advanced. Direct admission ( through lateral entry) into second year of BE/B Techis for diploma holders in engineering and graduates in science with Maths as a subject who have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Some universities/ states conduct an entrance test for the same. Diploma course of three years duration is usually open to student passing class 10. Admission is usually on the basis of Joint Entrance Test.

Dear Aspirant,

You can become an ECE in two ways:

  1. After 10th, go for Diploma in ECE from a recognised State technical institute.

  2. After Diploma, go for Degree BE ECE. You will get direct entry to second year of BE based on your Diploma qualification

OR

  1. After 10th, go for Science with PCM and after 12th Science PCM, get admission for 4 year BE or BTech in ECE form an AICTE and University recognised Institute.

THE eligibility criteria is you need to have studied Maths,English,Physics in your 11th and 12 standard.


There are many universities which provide you excellent placement activities,desired course of ECE/EEE,scholarship according to your performance.
The universities are
1) RV College of Engineering, Bangalore...........................2) PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore...........3) SASTRA University..
