Hi,

It all depends on how you look at unemployment. As they say that every question has an answer. If you see it as a problem , you will certainly have a solution. If you see it as an opportunity you will have options. Any thing and every thing is possible , it all depends on your attitude.

Once you know in Times of India news paper , they had printed a survey , which showed what the educated and unemployed people are opting for. It was an amazing article which gave a detail about the professionals from different fields like IT , Engineering, Arts, Science etc . They all refused to go for a job which insisted on sitting in a cubical and doing a 9-5 job , that too a very dead kind of job just for that fat pay packet which comes with all that unhealthy competition leading to health issues and politics.

So what they settled for is doing some thing which they are fond of and they will never get tired of. All of them had some thing common in them and that is they all were fond of food , so they picked up items which they were comfortable cooking. Took a place on hire and started working on it. An Engineer started his Lassi and paratha shop , which is so famous in Delhi, an IT professional was fond of ice cream so he opened an ice cream parlor and so on. They are earning like any thing and their place has become a famous hang out place for all ages. They spend quality time with their families and friends and are very very happy.

What i want to say here is creativity is the word, which can take you places. We all are gifted with creativity naturally , just explore that and have the courage to start some thing new rather than be in the rat race. work with your heart , spend time with your family, be your own boss and earn more than what a job offers.

I think from the above examples it is very clear that the unemployment kind of word is very small and it does not stop any body from moving ahead in life. If you can recollect all the multi millionaires like Ambani , Tata and Birla to name some, started their life from a very small business and slowly with hard work and perseverance became big names in the word.

ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello My Dear...

A wonderful question for us here on CareerGuide.com. My colleague here Ms. Jyoti Dhingra has excellently put in words the exact thing in her first paragraph of her advice. I am sure she must have also felt the question wonderful. I am glad that you approached CareerGuide.com for seeing clarification to this wonderful and thought provoking question of yours.

I like your question also because I am an Economist and your question is ultimately related to economics but not wholely.

Unemployment is the way you look at it. There is unemployment may because the candidates are not fit for a job, or may be jobs are not available, or may be jobs are scarce or may be there is a tendancy to leave job for other profession, or may be disguised unemployment.

Unemployment is increasing also due to the economic problems and when there are economic problems every body suffers adversely. However the govt of every country tries not to have unemployment in the country for a longer period and therefore brings out various schemes to enhance the employment.

However if you look at the corporate private sector, unemployment is majorly due to the fault of the candidates. Candidates believe that jobs can be secured just based on qualifications but this is not true. Apart from qualifications today it is necessary to learn skills and things which are not given in the education degrees but are highly demanded in the industry like soft skills, conputer skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, etc.

If these things are improved, unemployment will reduce definitely.

Have a positive attitude and determination to improve yourself. This is the key to all problems.

Best Luck
