Hi Friend,

Greetings of the day!!!

Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.com!!!

Banking is one of the most dynamic sector and one of the most promising sector for getting job opportunities. Banking do provide lot of job options and thus it has lot of entry level options

Most of the PSU bank would have a process of selecting a entry level candidate by way of Bank PO. Bank PO Exams contains subjects like English, Reasoning, Quant Etc. Bank PO Exam Preparation are done by lot of institutes in metros and semi metros. There are certain guidelines as to minimum qualification and also age restriction to appear for Bank PO

For Private Sector Banks now conducts program which trains and individual and then places them in the various position of bank only, this banks have a bond during which one can not change the job since there is a cost associated in terms of training which bank provide

Another option is that you do your MBA from one of the good institute and then work your way towards getting in to a banking job the advantage would be that you would be able to get into the middle level job instead of entry level.

Banking sector also provide a good growth prospect since an individual can grow and reach to the senior level in the banking domain with consistent effort one can think of becoming regional head, general manager, branch manager, and subsequently moving up to CMD level.

But banking sector provide stability unlike stock market job there is only one concern which is that growth can be slow due to vertical structure in Hierarchy.

All the Best!!!

Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.com!!!

Banking is considered as the back bone of the economy. Therefore growth of this sector is tremendous and never ending.

You can enter into banking sector in two ways: Private banks or Public sector banks.

For entering into the private banks, you need to be MBA Finance or CFA or CA. These qualifications are most sought by private banks. Else after graduation in commerce/arts/science, you can join the courses which are sponsored by private banks and complete that course and get entry at the junior level.

For entering into public sector banks, you need to apply for IBPS or PO exams, when the vacancies are announced.

I would recommend you coaching classes for IBPS or PO exams since they are competitive and its better to be well prepared, aware and do lot of practice to crack the examinations.

Best wishes,

If you want to make a career in the banking sector, then do appear in IBPS Exams.

The topmost competitive exams conducted by IBPS are – IBPS PO, IBPS SO, IBPS Clerk & IBPS RRB.

All these exams are conducted for different posts and the eligibility criteria for all these exams are also different.

Recently IBPS has completed the registration process for IBPS SO 2018 Exam. Candidates who applied are preparing themselves to fight with top class aspirants.

If you want to apply for IBPS Exams, then it is essential to check all the latest updates on a regular basis through the official website of IBPS.
