My Dear Law Aspirant,

Your question is very apt and very valid. I would like to appreciate your thinking and let me tell you that you have thought correctly however there is no need to worry at all by this thought.

I am glad that you decided to approach CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance and clarification for your career query. I am sure that the experts here will be able to guide you appropriately.

In my more than seven years of career counselling experience, I have come across students interested in doing law and after that wish to do practice, but students like you are not so common who ask for options apart from practicing as a Lawyer or Advocate.

Your question is really unique and so apt.

Law profession:

Looking at the lakhs of pending cases in the various courts in India and also the rise in crimes (civil and criminal) and also that justice can be sought though with a delay, demand and importance of lawyers is on the rise. Here I mean good lawyers are always demanded by the people for genuine in justice done to them.

Law profession shall always remain the demanded professions and so the demand for law course will remain the same.

LLB from a non reputed University:

Not every body can get into the Top most Institutes or Universities for courses, however there are lakhs who manage to do wonderful careers and get success in life.

There fore I would like to tell you upfront that you need not get tensed at all just because you have done LLB from a not so famous University.

The most important thing in the LLB course is how you are able to articulate, put forth and organise your thinking for your client in order to get the desired justice for that client. It is also about how well you know the laws and the amendments taking there of. Both above things can be learnt by any body and not necessarily that a person should be in the top Law school to learn this. You will have to put in efforts from your side to make your self a competent legal professional.

There fore, if the LLB course is recognised by Bar Council of India, then you need not worry.

Jobs on basis of LLB:

Legal professionals are required in good numbers in the corporate, private firms, legal firms, BPOs, KPOs, banks, financial institutions, etc.

You can register your self in top job portals like Naukri.com, shine.com, etc and I am sure that there will be many legal department jobs for you.

Best Luck
