Which carrier to choose after completing 12th

sir, I want to do b.tech and i have 12th class exam in 2013 from wbchse . I was declared pass with 64 % marks but I have noy passed in physics which is main subject in engg. Also I cannot appear for qualifying exam again as there is no scope for it in wb board . so, please tell me how can I proceed to do b.tech ?

I am glad you approached counsellors at CareerGuide.com to seek guidance. Do not worry as failure happens to most of the people. As a counsellor i have seen students failing in one or two subjects and still making their way to do Engineering courses at private institutions. So your dream of studying BTech is highly possible and be relaxed about this. All i want to tell you is you should decide on what subject you want to study a BTech degree. You have not mentioned the name of the subject interested and only said you want to do a BTech.

First of all to study a BTech degree you should know you require a 12th class pass in the same year attempt. Getting fail marks in one subject has made you to waste a year but dont worry there are thousands of students like you who fails and struggles to get admitted in professional degrees.

So first thing you need to do is join a tutorial class or special coaching class for the physics subject alone. Once you start studying seriously in this subject i am sure you can pass it in 2014 year itself and can also start your BTech in 2014 itself. There are lots of colleges in private that admit students who passed 12th class in second attempt. Private colleges need a over all pass while they admit you so this shouldnt be a problem. However you should choose in what course you want to do a BTech degree. As you are a bit weak in physics choose the courses that has relatively less important to Physics degree. So you are advised to avoid BTECH Civil engineering, Automobile engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering and electronics engineering. If you had studied 12th in a pure science/ biology group you can choose to study BTECH Biotechnology, chemical engineering, Bachelor of pharmacy (BPharm), Bio informatics or Bio medical engineering. If you have studied in computer science group then you can either choose BTech Computer science engineering or BTECH Information technology course.

If you are interested in studying arts based professional degree then you can choose BTech textile designing, fashion designing, furniture designing, interior designing. Most of these courses are run by National institute of design in ahmedabad. Most universities also run entrance test from february to june for admission and you need to attend exams where you want to study.
