Which course/ degree should pursue to bag job in Banking and Finance industry?

I have completed M.com with 1st class grade. Now i am looking job in banking industry, currently i am working with local firm in nashik as account and admin executive. Full time degree not possible to me. Please suggest me which degree should i pursue which would help me to bag job of banking and finance industry.

Full time or part time course does not matter. What matters is thhe knowledge you carry forward from the courses. If you give more than 100% to your study, you would do better than a full time MBA person. Also remember, you have an added advantage than a full time, i.e. your job expertise. Choose a recognised university, then there would be no issue at all. Rest is upto you how well you can market yourself.

There are few banking related courses which are available from Institute of Banking and finance, which you could opt for.
CFA and CFP are highly recognised courses and quite at a higher level. They deal with finance at a higher level and are recommended only for professionals with a minimum of 5 years work experience in related fields.

Dear Aspirant,

If you plan to enter into private banks, then:

  1. A solid qualification like MBA Finance/Banking, CFA, CA is highly recommended.
  2. You can also join courses of IFBI which are affiliated to private banks and get entry into banks at Assistant Manager level.

If you plan to enter into public sector banks, then:

  1. You can appear for IBPS exam, which is for clerical to mid level positions in banks.
  2. You can appear for PO exam, which is for Managerial positions
