i have attained btech degree in biotechnology..with average overall scores,what are my chances in indian companies or foreign companies employment and with what range of salary package?

You say you have obtained average scores and want to work in high salary package companies in India or abroad. May I know what range your score is? To be able to work in Biotechnology top companies, ideally a first class degree is necessary. That is it is expected that you should have achieved minimum above 60% in your btech biotech degree. Have you got that score? If you have not got that score, companies could still consider you to recruit for them. But it truly depends how you perform at the interview and your subject knowledge related to the work of the company. Suppose you are applying to plant biotech companies, if you do well in interview related to plant biotech questions and did not do well in animal biotech questions, this wouldnt harm your interview. As the company is involved in plant related field, they want to judge your interest and expertise only in plant related field. Most companies also have an entrance test for candidates. If you pass the entrance test with high scores but have a low btech biotech degree marks, they will still consider you for recruitment. So dont feel discouraged that you may not work for comapnies with high packages.

But i would advice you to strengthen your application further if you want a good package to start with. You can consider doing some training courses in biotech or undergo 6months to one year training in some research lab. Try applying for jobs after the traineeship so that you have better chances for being recruited and you can also expect some 10-15% overall hike in your starting pay compared to other starters who are freshers. I would say, just with an average btech score is not sufficient to apply for a job in India. You need to find some ways to add strength to your application. Else you can also consider doing MTech biotech and achieve at least a first class in that degree and then apply for jobs.

regarding jobs abroad, it is a tedious process. Companies need to sponsor you for a visa to be able to recruit you and not all companies does this. However if you had studied abroad, you could be considered in the same country. Australia, USA, Canada are good options if you want to consider.
