Zoologists study wildlife and animals. They analyse how the animals interact with ecological system and how they behave in their natural habitats. They work towards collecting data by conducting experimental studies with animals under controlled and natural surroundings. Their studies are highly important to understand the behaviour of the wildlife and understand their interaction with other species, population dynamics, diseases and their control, and movement from on place to other.
In addition, the impact of human activities over the natural habitat of animals can be studies and vice versa. Their research and studies can be used to manage the wildlife population and understand if any wildlife creature is dangerous to humankind, the interaction can be kept at minimum with suc species. They have an important role in wildlife conservation and developing policies to secure animals’ habitat. Zoologists usegeographic information system (GIS) and other computer software programs to track the animals. This helps them to analyse of any disease is getting spread among the animals or if it has any impact over humans. Some zoologists have a role to educate people, others work on conserving wildlife and some on studying the diseases.
