Introduction
The 2019 Pandemic of the coronavirus has caused chaos in our lives. Nothing seems and is normal anymore. We are forced to adapt to new ways of socializing. Young students at college are losing their campus life. Despite being on campus, some can’t live it the way they should. This article aims to focus on those who still have the privilege to stay around the college campus and help them cope and have a sense of normalcy.
Socialize with distance
Some colleges are still operating their hostel services and, students are still allowed to be on campus. The mere cause of the virus is physical contact. It takes away our due to hug our friends or smack them in times of annoyance. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Choose an open-air hangout spot and meet up. Ensure adhering to SOPs.
Lost Focus
The Pandemic has a great impact on our experience with knowledge. Now and then we lose focus on our studies. So, what can one do to regain focus? Well, reduce long stretch. Instead of studying an hour and then taking a break, reduce it to 30 mins of studying 10 mins of break.
Get that Pen!
The online mode of life has been hectic. Not just for teachers but students as well. Long hours in front of the screen has got most of the glasses by now. It demands you take a break from the screen. Exams will take place irrespective of any problems. Hence, spend your time making notes on paper with pens. Solve your equation and derivations on a book. Once in a while, writing an English essay instead of typing won’t harm.
Online classes
Online classes can often get frustrating. There is an instance where you feel like giving up on college altogether. But that is not a solution. Instead, know your syllabus and sit with your friends. During school days, teachers often said, “discuss your subject with friends, you’ll know it better”. This is the right time to do it. It helps you solve their doubts and get your doubts solved. Those that seem impossible to solve, you can ask an expert (Your teacher).
Losing Practical experience
Several arts and science fields need compulsory practical knowledge of a subject. The pandemic seized this opportunity from us too. To overcome this, the best solution is to know your theory and apply for an internship in the field you desire. It will not only give you field knowledge but add to your curriculum vitae.

Hobbies
The worst effect of the current scenario is losing touch with oneself. We have got ourselves into a loop of eating, sleep, Netflix, repeat. You have to break this loop. Focus on enhancing your hobbies or have a new one. And do not call Netflix a hobby!
Health problems
Mental and Physical health is on a roller coaster these days. The never-ending loop of the day and monotonous online classes are taking our health on a dangerous ride. The best way out of this is eating well, exercise and meditating. Irrespective of the sour cursing you throw at the pandemic, you got to agree that you have received more self-time than ever. Use it well. Home exercise, do a little yoga. Mediate daily and eat well. Avoid that midnight snack.
Roommates
If you are in a hostel or PG, your roommates have changed into your family by now. But family can get on your nerves too. Instead of yelling or getting frustrated at each other, make sure you take enough breaks from each other. Try to create a positive atmosphere than killing each other’s mood. Study together. Do activities to keep the spirit alive.
Distractions
There is a lot to process in these times. Daily news can make us feel low and it can have a bad impact on our mental health. It gets necessary to distract yourself. Keep that phone aside for a while. Cook and clean a little or develop a skincare routine, write a journal, read non-fiction. Do anything that can give your mind a genuine break from a monotonous life.
Positive attitude
Be kind to yourself. You can’t help the whole planet. Entering the campus, the first thought you might have is social distancing. Refrain yourself from thinking about what will happen. Instead, live in the present. You are alive, non-infected. Be grateful. Focus more on your studies.
