  • When you are looking after yourself at home you need some equipment. A Pulse Oximeter to measure your pulse rate and oxygen in your blood. Thermometer and blood pressure apparatus, if there is any.
  • The main organ you need to care about the most is your lungs. Try to lie down on your stomach. It will improve and open up your lungs and back of your chest. It will improve oxygenation. Do not do it immediately after eating food. Do some deep breathing exercises. Sleep on your side, do not lay on your back, it smashes your lungs.
  • Do not panic, take care of yourself and your mental health and, stay positive, read good books. Take proper rest to maintain a daily routine and level of activity. Move 10 to 15 minutes two to three times in your room every day. It will keep you refresh and circulation in your legs going. Also, move your arms around frequently. Breath in through your nose and out through your lungs. If your throat is feeling pain, gargle two to three times a day with normal saltwater, it will give some relief.
  • Maintain a good diet that is easy to digest and, has cereal, fruit, turmeric, honey, giloy, ginger, bananas, onion, etc in it. Increase the intake of food having protein, vitamin B, zinc, vitamin D3 and, vitamin C. With these, have about three to four liters of liquids warm water, lemon water, tea, electrolytes, Pedialyte, etc. Have things at room temperature. Try to avoid milk products.

Your life is your responsibility. Wear a mask, sanitize, don’t touch your face, and wash your hands properly. Stay healthy, your body can fight the virus if you take the right precautions, food, and exercise. Boost your immunity, a body with a good immunity will have disease lesser than a body with low immunity. Also, if you are self-quarantined or taking care of any covid-19 patient, keep a record of symptoms, temperature, and oxygen at least two to three times a day. This record will help doctors and nurses too. You should include protein in your diet, it helps build up the cells, it also helps to build up immunity. Dals, nuts, oilseeds, eggs, etc are a good source of protein. Have five servings of fruit and vegetables in the day, either raw or cooked, will increase the healing process. Take care of your carbs consumption to take poha, chapatti, rice, etc.
