The MTSE is conducted by the Ness Wadia College, Pune which is its conducting and administration body. The exam is a two-stage exam that tests the Mental Aptitude and Scholastic Aptitude of the students at the two stages that is the MCQ Exam and the Interview Stage at any point of educational aptitude. During these years the MTSE has produced many scholars which have been befitted due to this examination.
The examination is exclusive for the students studying in the 8th, 9th, and 10th Standard. The main motive of this examination is to grant scholarships to the meritorious students studying in the 8th, 9th, and 10th standard. Also, it is said that this examination awards scholarships to potential candidates in the education field of Science and Social Studies. This is given based on the overall performance of the student in the two stages of the exam and the interview. This examination is a two-stage examination.
The first stage is an MCQ Examination and the Second Stage is an Interview Exam. The student who passes the MCQ exam with exceptional grades qualifies for the interview round. The MCQ exam is a 3 Hour Exam on the Online and Offline mode as per the facilities available in the particular district. The timing of this examination for this year is 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM. The exam will be conducted in the English, Marathi, Hindi, and Urdu Language. The exam will be conducted in the respective city of the student as per the available facilities. The Interviews will be taken at the Ness Wadia College, Pune. If there are a majority of students who have a problem reaching Pune for the Interview, then the exam will be taken at their respective city with the required provision. This facility can only be provided if there are a majority of students. The Interview for the 10th standard students will be 50 marks. The examination will be 200 marks. The marking scheme in this exam is +1/-0 and +1/-0.28. The syllabus for all the three divisions is subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History, Civics, Geography, and Arithmetic.
