Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is popularly known as the most popular exam given the students who wish to pursue their graduate studies in the Engineering discipline. This exam is considered as one of the premier exams in the section of Science, Engineering and also in the Diploma section. This exam was started in the year 1983 to have an exam to guide the talent of the students who wish to pursue their graduate studies in engineering.

This exam is usually conducted in the 2 months of every year. In the year 2021, this exam was conducted on 6, 7, 8, 13 dates in February. There are altogether 60 questions to be answered in these three hours for GATE. The marking scheme for this exam is +1/-0.33 or +2/-0.25. Also, another plus point from the marking scheme for the students appearing for this exam is that there is no negative marking when it comes to the Numerical Aptitude method. The pillars on which the qualification of this exam stands are factors such as Recall, Comprehension, Analysis, and Synthesis.
