Overthinking is such a small word, but it can kill your mental peace. If you think, think, and think about something too much or for long, then it not only waste your time but also heightens your stress. Overthinking can drain your creativity. Overthinking is very common, every second person is suffering from overthinking. However, nobody needs to speak about it. Overthinking is a very serious issue. The reason why we overthink is because of what I call the mental health Trinity: fear, worry, and anxiety. This feeds your anxiety and fear. Overthinking can lead to depression. That’s why it is very important to stop your overthinking.  

Here are some simple ways to stop yourself from overthinking:

Find a distraction

Find a distraction give a pause to your overthinking invests your time in something you enjoy. It can be anything, explore your hobbies and interest. If you enjoy cooking, then learn some new techniques in cooking, If you have an interest in singing and dancing, then invest your time in that, take up a new hobby, take workout classes, and many more things in which you can invest your time. These things can help you a lot, to stop overthinking as you stay busy and utilize your time in the good stuff.

Don’t think about the negative aspects, have a positive outlook. Sometimes overthinking is caused due to your fear because you think about negative things – what will happen if this or that happens.
