We have often read about articles which gives us all the tips and points which can help the students to understand the dos and don’ts while preparing for boards or while trying to prepare for any important examination. But what we always miss is that the environment we are spending our time in is not always in our hands to decide.

Therefore the parents need to understand that there are certain actions or situations that can pressurize the students mentally and therefore make them open to distractions and mental disturbance which ca finally reflect in his work or daily activities. In order for a child to do good academically and in other aspects of life, efforts and determination are not the only factors which are important, there are other factors such as mental peace and environment which are some of the major factors which affect the results in a big way.

"There's Always A Scope Of Improvement"

On the exterior it might seem that the child has the control over how and what he will be able to do in his exams and in the future. we have often heard our parents to tell us that it is us who have the power to do better in our life and we have the complete responsibility for both the good and bad that we end up with in life and its stages. We often hear this before our exams or before any major step of our lives.

A part of it or let us say that most of it is due but it cannot be ignored at all that our external factors have a huge effect on our life, many of these factors are actually not easy to control or sometimes are beyond our control. One of the factors that can affect the environment is our home situation. Often students are seen to face many mental issues when their academic stress is combined with the external stress put by his family or surroundings.

A family which continuously compares their child with other students can in a way discourage the child to be confident and break the child’s will to explore and express his inner skills. Children often feel distant and pressurized when their family develops the tendency to make them feel inferior to the others and point out their flaws. This tendency also cause them to lose their creativity and authenticity, they often try to mimic others and, in the process, lose the skills and capability that they themselves possess. The family should help keep the atmosphere as peaceful as it can be.

Community

In times of exam stress and mental pressure, showing warmth to the child and making him realize that he is not alone in the struggle is very important, all it takes is to be supportive instead putting extra amount of pressure. Lastly a child can go through a lot of complication and struggle without anyone knowing, sometimes children of certain age can already feel a lot of anxiety and peer pressure and therefore they develop the habit to put themselves in a state of immense engagement and pressure.

Coping

As parents and as a family you should always encourage them to take a break and try to help them release their mental chaos. During this stage there are high chance for the students to find certain distractions which can also be in the form of certain addictions and other harmful tendencies, it therefore becomes very important to let him confide in his family so that parents can participate in his life and inner struggles and be emotionally close enough to guide him out of the state.
