9 Fantastic ways to build your ideal career

To build a successful career in your life you should have a successful life journey. A successful journey is achieved by attaining the goals which form the steps to reach your destination. Not only the accomplishments you have achieved, but also overcoming the failures and pitfalls which downgrade you sometimes.  “Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.” C. S. Lewis “.  I know almost everyone is desired to have to build your ideal career to make their journey beautiful with more rewards, appraisals, and accomplishments. I’m going to give you some of the best ways to build your ideal career.

1. Set a Bigger Goal

“The bigger your goal is, the more successful, productive, and wealthy you become”. If you want to enjoy the pleasures of your life without any limitations, you should become predominant. If you want to become predominant, you should be the biggest. This should be the first thought of any person who wants a phenomenal career in their life. Your thoughts should always be big.“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.” —Andrew Carnegie

2. Plan your Career absolutely Perfect

Nothing big can ever be achieved without having a perfect plan. “A goal without a plan is just a wish” —Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.  “Plan your work and work your plan”. Research everything absolutely perfect in prior, before stepping into the field. Check what are the opportunities for what you want to choose. Choose the field which has future scope. Check the required groups, courses, colleges, places, academies, etc., before starting it. Always update yourself with the changes happening in your desired field and never lose the touch. Finally, execute the plan perfectly.

3. Have an Alternate Plan

Many of the people’s plans, sometimes might not go according to what they’ve planned in prior, so always have an alternative plan. If I take an example of the student who wants to do Engineering in IIT’s, BITS, or Top NIT’s. To enter into those Universities, you should give the JEE exam(Mains and Advanced). For that, you should choose M.P.C (P.C.M) in your Class 11th. There are specialized institutes for JEE coaching which conduct entrance exams. You should clear those exams to make sure the lecturers in that institute that you are qualified for the minimum standards to study JEE. (Of course, the students off these institutes can qualify for the exam). If you got into those institutes (even by not getting in them) and scored well in the exams and got into those top Universities, you are good. But there are many of the guys, who cannot make it.

There may/can be the reasons like low-standard education in your schooling, learning the concepts incompletely, very little practice, improper plan, not completing the syllabus in time and giving the exam without practice (which is disgusting), not getting into IIT’s due to reservations or less numb of admissions, financial problems or other indispensable reasons. All IITs combined have only 10,000 seats, NIT’s and other good Universities combined have not more than 50,000 seats for which 13,00,000 students compete every year. This happens for every stream you take after your class 10.

Even if you don’t achieve by trying once, try out all the chances you have. If you are unable to clear by doing trying repeatedly, then go with the alternate plan/s. You can also pursue Engineering even in Tier 3 colleges/Universities. But choose a better college which has a minimum standard. At least you’ll have a powerful degree, B.Tech but some less worth than from IIT’s, etc(in India)., If you have less money, go for the best with what you have. (My personal advice is to take a loan and join better colleges and clear it later.) Try joining Autonomous colleges regardless of the high fee. Never join Affiliated Colleges(Especially for Engineering).

4. Be an All-Rounder

If you want to build an ideal career, never stick with the same thing. If you are pursuing Engineering, never stick with only academics. Participate in various kinds of activities held in your college or other areas. Participate in Sports, workshops, fests, as a host, etc., Use the skills of your stream to create any applications, solve the unsolved challenges, research in that area, etc., Participate in inter-college competitions held statewide or National wide, etc., Have achievement/s  in your life. Gain knowledge even in other streams apart from yours. Improve your GK and other subjects like History etc., Update yourself with the latest things and stay to that level regardless of what level your college syllabus has.

5. Get additional Qualification/s

Never stop with the basic qualification. Have an additional qualification of a higher degree. This adds additional knowledge and experience to a high standard in your life. More preference would be given to the people who have additional qualification/s. For example, if you choose M.P.C(P.C.M) in your class 11, never stop with your UG. Add additional Qualifications like Masters’s Degree, Ph.D. from India, or Foreign countries. This enhances your knowledge to increase the level of expertise, career, and profile strength. At least have one additional Qualification.

6. Never deviate from your field

Never deviate your path after choosing a field or in the middle of your journey. If you commit to doing go in a field and you are in the middle of the path, never deviate your path. That is the reason choose the best field before starting your journey. Check the future scope of it and then start your journey. Always explore in your field. If there is less scope in your place or country, go to other countries.

If there is a need to switch your field compulsorily, then choose the alternatives which are similar to your field, which you are able to do, or land you in a safe position that has the long-term scope and makes you wealthy.

7. Never give up

To build an ideal career, everyone faces situations where there will be a downfall due to failure, pitfalls of your life. Sometimes you have to face people’s criticism. They may be your superiors, colleagues, parents, relatives, friends, or society. They may disturb you more and if you get succumb to those words or actions then your hard work, sacrifices for the short-time goals of your journey which dropped you this far, will get ruined and meaningless entirely. I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” —Michael Jordan.  Therefore, never succumb to those.  Listen to inspiring stories about how people overcome failures in their life, inspiring quotes, meet successful people, etc., “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm “– Winston Churchill. Fight your problems and solve them.

Never lose your life for those small things. 8. Go traveling

Yes, if you want to have an ideal career, you should travel to various places. By traveling to other places, you’ll know people’s lifestyle, their culture, customs, interests, problems, etc., Go to other places to study. You can know their teaching methodologies, the content they teach, their standard, what they teach, etc., If you want to learn the English language or become an expert in English language communication, never sit the books and lectures, travel to different places in the USA or England where people talk English. Explore their world, step into a new environment from yours, explore their customs by interacting with them. These things add up your life with new, unique, and rich experiences.

9. Do Social Service

If you are doing any job or become an expert in a field, share your knowledge with others. Write blogs, upload lectures on websites. Start an institute, school, college where you can share your knowledge, build new ideas, encouraging your students, guiding them in a proper way. “Knowledge is power”. By sharing your knowledge, you make thousands of people make their lives. Even help others who are in crisis. Donate to the poor, orphanages, homeless people, Social service organizations, etc., These things add happiness to your life and build your life having an ideal career.
