Dear Aspirant, Clearly Automobile Engineering will not be of any use in Merchant Navy. It will be just regarded as a normal graduation. To get sponsorship, you need to be working in cargo and shipping industry, where your automobile engineering will not be regarded as eligibility. I think you should re-think on your decision to go for Merchant Navy. If you want to get into Merchant Navy you need to get into graduation again which is not recommended once you already are a graduate. To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo an online psychometric test
