Dear parent, first of all, I would like to appreciate you that you are taking very keen interest in your daughter career and trying to take right Guidance for your daughter career. Now, you are on right platform for right Guidance. before answering your question, let me introduce first, I am a career consultant and Counselling Psychologist and I have been working in the field of Career counselling for more than seven years.

As per your query that your daughter has given 10+2 exam and after this exam you are planning to take her admission in Mechanical Engineering as a Graduation course and you want to know that Mechanical Engineering is good option or not for a women.

First of all , I would like to suggest you that don't make pressure on your child ever for joining any particular field as per your choice. Always give prefer to interest and aptitude of child. if your daughter is really Interested in Mechanical Engineering and she also have Engineering Aptitude, definitely allow her to join engineering college for Mechanical Engineering. For knowing aptitude, you may take any professional help or you can contact to mera career Guide . com.

As after reading your query, I feel that you are little bit confused that Mechanical Engineering is good for women or not. First of all, I would like to suggest you that don't underestimate willpower of women. Beside this I want to light on one thing that in Mechanical Engineering, one has to deal with machines but beside this there are various options available in which one has to deal machines very lightly. As you know that today's age every Industry has Research and Development section, so one can join Research and Development section as Mechanical Engineer. Beside this one can go for teaching Mechanical Engineering.

Good Luck!
