Banking career option is the preferred career option not only by the commerce students but also by the other faculty students. Banking is one of the safe and prestigious career option considered in the society. Banking sector is expanding rapidly day by day in the country and is one of the promising career for those who wish to make a career in the Banking and Finance . The banking sector is not on;y dominated by the Government but there are many private players who have been dominating the banking sector in the recent times. So one have an option to make a career either in the Private or Public Banking Sector. But many students they aspire to make the career in the Public Banking Sector.

One can give an Bank Clerk or Bank PO exams. Earlier the Bank recruitment were done by the Bank Recruitment Selection Board. But now many of the Bank recruitment's are done through the IBPS. The IBPS conducts both the exams for Clerk and PO positions whereas there are also Clerk and PO exams conducted by the SBI.

The Candidate who wish to make their career in the SBI bank they need to give an exam of SBI Clerk or PO whereas for the rest of the Government Banks i.e 21 Nationalised Banks one needs to give an IBPS PO or Clerk exams.

The Eligibility criteria is as follows-

Bank Clerk (IBPS & PO)

1.A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any recognised university from any stream (except Fine Arts)

2. Should be an Indian

3. Age 20 to 28 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.

BANK PO (IBPS and PO)

1. The first two criteria are same as mentioned above.

2. Age 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.
