Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for writing to us.

Your question is not clear. Are you asking for eligibility for Govt exams for admission in Engineering courses or eligibility for Government job?

For any competitive exams, you need minimum 55% in graduation. For admission in Engineering course; you need minimum 55% in 12th Science (PCM).

I assume that you an engineer and looking for Government jobs. Well, there are three levels of entry: (1) entry through competitive exams in respective department (2) entry through State Public Service Commission for engineers;
(3) entry through UPSC (civil service exam).

(1) Entry through competitive exams in respective department: Various departments conduct recruitment exam for the job. Keep an eye on recent vacancies in Govt bodies. Following are few Government owned Public Sector Undertakings Companies / Organizations:
Municipal corporation (city engineer), BHEL, BEL, Coal India, HPCL, EIL, BPCL, Mazagon Dock, MECON, NACL, NLC, NMDC, SAIL, NTPC, IOCL, ONGC, Power Grid, Railtel, RITES, UCI etc.

Also regularly browse following websites that provides details fo vacancies:
www.indgovtjobs.in
https://www.sarkariexaam.com
www.recruitmentnews.in
http://www.employment-news-today.com

Subscribe to employment news. It provides detail of Government jobs.

(2) Entry through State Public Service Commission for engineers: All State level recruitments are done through SPSC. Key an eye on SPSC exams.

(3) Entry through UPSC (civil service exam): You can prepare for UPSC and get into civil services. This may not be relevant to engineering qualification.

Hope this is helpful!

Wish you best luck for Govt. job!
