There have been a great career opportunities in both the Private as well as Public Banking Sector.

The person who aspires to make a career in the Banking Sector especially in the Public Banking Sector they need to go through the exam. There are two types of Exams are conducted in the Government Banking Sector i.e Bank Clerk and Bank PO.

The Banking sector needs a skilled and tech savvy Human Resource because of the immense use of Technology in the Banking System.

The Candidates who aspires to make a career in SBI bank they need to give an SBI PO exam.; whereas the candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.

The educational eligibility for  Bank PO Exam (both) is the same as follows-

1.A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any of the stream from a recognised university.

2.Nationality- Indian (a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or refugee of Tibet who came to India with the intention to permanent settlement before 1st Jan. 1962)

3.Age- 20 to 30 years; 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years is for disabled person.

Eligibility criteria for Bank Clerk-

Earlier the candidate who have completed 12th with 60% from any stream was allowed to appear for the Clerk Exam. But as per the new notification the Candidate needs to have passed a Graduation Degree.

Whereas the Nationality is same as like above mentioned

Age- 20 to 28 years and the relaxation is same as above mentioned

You get eligible to apply for both the exams Bank PO and Bank Clerk Exams.I would suggest you to go for the Bank PO Exam,it will be more helpful for your career.
